We play full contact rugby. Unless we are running a beginners’ session, all girls should be confident in the basics of contact rugby:
- tackling,
- rucking,
- mauling.
If you want to come along, but are not sure whether you are ready, ask your club or school coach.
In August, the BBC ran a competition with the prize being a day’s training with the England squad prior to their departure for Canada.

The flags, shown in alphabetical order, are of British Columbia, and Washington State, both on the Pacific Coast of North America - and that is the clue to the answer for Under 17s in Cambridgshire, Norfolk and Suffolk - 7,000 miles!

USA Women’s Eagles (their national team) recently hosted a couple of games against Canada. They won the first game 25-10, and lost the second 18-20. If you look here you can see some great photography which brings to life the sheer athleticism of women’s rugby played at the highest level.
