Girls Rugby Joint Training - Minimum Skills

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

We play full contact rugby. Unless we are running a beginners’ session, all girls should be confident in the basics of contact rugby:
- tackling,
- rucking,
- mauling.
If you want to come along, but are not sure whether you are ready, ask your club or school coach.

How Far Could Rugby Take You?

Monday, September 4th, 2006

The flags, shown in alphabetical order, are of British Columbia, and Washington State, both on the Pacific Coast of North America - and that is the clue to the answer for Under 17s in Cambridgshire, Norfolk and Suffolk - 7,000 miles!

A combination of good rugby, rap, and ATTITUDE! Sadly, for boring techie reasons, you’ll have to click through to Blondie’s site to see it.
How long before we get to see rugby like this on TV here, I wonder……

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

Just found another blog.
Lee’s Rugby Life includes some good discussions on scrum half tactics by the American National Scrum Half - see photo here.
If you want to see her thoughts on team communication when the going gets tough, try this.
Now I’m wondering what is the correct plural of ’scrum half’…..!

Some Great Photos from USA

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

USA Women’s Eagles (their national team) recently hosted a couple of games against Canada. They won the first game 25-10, and lost the second 18-20. If you look here you can see some great photography which brings to life the sheer athleticism of women’s rugby played at the highest level.
I just wish […]
