First “Girls Play!” Day a Success
November 27th, 2007
Thanks to the generosity of Diss RFC, Sunday
25th November saw the first of Eastern Counties’
8 “Girls Play!” Fixtures which will run between
now and mid-March.
18 Under-15s from a total of 4 clubs came
together to play. Reports indicate that the
afternoon was a great success - as you can
see from the top photo!

The “Girls Play!” programme is intended to offer players the chance to apply the basic skills they have learnt at their home clubs in a game environment with a good number of players on each team.
“Girls Play!” Day 2 will be at Ely RFC on 9th December.

Like all the other days, it is open to any player who has mastered these minimum safety skills.
Whether you are a U15 or a U18 player, if you are ready to move on from endless training sessions, and start playing ‘real games’, this programme is for you! Get your school or club to email player numbers to Eulalie Mayers (Programme Manager) by 12.00 on Thursday 6th December at the latest.
Many thanks to Lou Young, Alan Carpenter and Norman Potter at Diss, and to Malcolm Davis of Swaffham for the photos.
