Star of the Month - June

Each month there will be an award for ‘Star of the Month’. It might be for a player (adult or junior), or a team, or for one of the many volunteers who never run with a ball, but without whom the players could not play.
The inaugural ‘Star of the Month’ Award goes to Hellesdon High School U14s in Norwich. This has been their first season. The team was a highly successful response to a rebuilding project at the school which forced the PE staff to come up with more outdoor sports activities. Their first tournament was the Herts Sevens Tournament , where they carried the Bowl Award home to Norfolk. Very many congratulations for an outstanding performance for one of our newest (and youngest) teams.
Luke Skeffington, their coach writes: 
“The girls really enjoyed the tournament and came away winning the bowl competition. They improved with each match scoring some good tries, and playing good rugby.
I must mention how impressed I was with organisation of the tournament and the standard of play. Please could you let me know of any other tournaments as we want to maintain our progress.”
