Norfolk Girls Win at National Sevens

June 14th, 2006

U17 Norfolk girls Libby Peak (West Norfolk) and Vicky Harris (North Walsham) both played key roles in an overall win at the National Sevens Tournament on the Bank Holiday Monday at the end of May. They were playing for Basildon, who beat Worcester - one of the biggest and strongest clubs in the country - in a thrilling and closely fought final.

For both girls, this was their final girls fixture - both will be moving on to adult rugby next season. If both join Norwich-based Lakenham Hewitt, they just might be back to see if they can do it again next year in the national senior sevens tournament - this time playing for a club closer to home!
